Nós aprendemos que a sensação, os sentidos e os sentimentos são elementos percebidos e manifestados pelo nosso corpo de várias maneiras. Os sentidos são a capacidade de compreender o ambiente, como a visão, o olfato, a audição, o paladar e o tato. Os sentidos criam nossas sensações que é como reagimos ao ambiente, diferente dos sentimentos que são criados pela nossa mente. Nós aprendemos tudo isso fazendo o exercício 1, assistindo os vídeos que fizemos e analisando trechos selecionados de filmes.

A partir do exercício 2, entendemos a sinestesia, que é a mistura de dois ou mais sentidos do corpo humano. A sinestesia cria a sensação sinestésica e concluímos que no cinema sempre temos sensações sinestésicas, pois podemos ver, ouvir e indiretamente sentir o gosto, o cheiro e tocar o que passa na tela da maioria dos filmes.

We have learned that sensations, senses and feelings are elements perceived and manifested by our body in several ways. Senses are our ability of understand the environment, such as the sight, the smell, the taste, the hearing and the tact. The senses create our sensations when we react to the environment around us, unlike feelings that are created by our mind. We were able to learn all of those concepts by doing the exercise 1 ,  watching and discussing our own short films and also analyzing selected movie’s excerpts.

From the exercise 2 we were able to understand the concept of synesthesia, that is the mix of two or more senses of the human body. Synesthesia creates the synaesthetic  sensation and we’ve reached the conclusion that in the cinema we always have the synaesthetic  sensation because we see, hear and indirectly “taste”, “touch” and “smell” what’s on the screen.

O exercício 1 obteve como resultado vários vídeos diferentes feitos por nós alunos que interpretamos a mesma proposta de maneiras diferentes. Para realizar meu exercício, escolhi primeiro o elemento que seria filmado e depois os sentidos que seriam expressados para percebê-lo. Eu escrevi minha proposta no caderno e a segui completamente.

As técnicas de filmagem que seriam usadas no exercício foram estudadas em sala de aula e eu as apliquei durante a filmagem. Para expressar calor, filmei a personagem colocando o rosto na água corrente da pia e um close up na água da chaleira fervendo água cada vez mais borbulhante. Eu também usei o recurso do plongée para demonstrar o ponto de vista do personagem nas cenas.

The exercise 1 showed as result a variety of videos made by us students that interpreted the same proposal in different ways. To make my exercise I chose the element that I would film first and then I chose the sense that I would express with it. I wrote my proposal in my exercise book and I follow it completely.

The film techniques that would help us do the exercise were taught in the classroom and I used them during my footage. To express heat, my chosen sensation, I filmed the character putting her face under the running water and a close up of a kettle gradually boiling water. I also used the plongée technique to show the character point of view in the scenes.

Meu primeiro exercício foi aprimorado para realizar o segundo. No primeiro, o elemento que usei foi o macarrão para expressar o sentido do tato. Já no meu segundo exercício, o elemento usado foi a água para expressar o sentido da audição. Todos meus colegas fizeram o exercício também e o resultado ficou incrível.

My first exercise was enhanced to make a second version. First I used pasta as a element to try to express the tactile sense to the viewer, but when I did the exercise again I filmed water to express the hearing sense. All of my students colleagues also fulfilled the exercise and I think the results were amazing.

Nós somos o 7° ano da Escola Carlitos, localizada em São Paulo no Brasil. São Paulo é uma grande cidade, uma das maiores cidades do nosso país. A nossa escola é pequena e está localizada no bairro do Pacaembu, perto do estádio.

O Projeto de Cinema começa no terceiro trimestre do 7° ano e acaba no segundo trimestre do 8° ano, então o projeto dura mais ou menos um ano inteiro. Nossa Escola valoriza esse projeto, pois é uma grande experiência para nós alunos e também porque gostamos muito de fazer os exercícios.

Good Morning,

We are the 7th grade of Escola Carlitos, located in São Paulo – Brazil. São Paulo is a big city, the larger of our country, and our small school is located at the Pacaembunear the stadium.

The Cinema project starts at the third trimester of the 7th grade and ends at the end of the second trimester of the 8th grade, so the project lasts almost a full school year. Our school really values this project because it is a big experience for us students. We really like to do the exercises.
