Tuesday, March 27th

We thought carefully about yesterday’s shooting, and we decided to retake. We never expected this, but eventually we were satisfied with what we shot. After that, we discussed over sequence of this scene and had another shooting. The shooting did not go very smoothly so we were getting a little flustered. But to make a good movie, we want to help each other and focus.

Wednesday, March 28th

In the morning, we gathered at the shooting site, had a discussion and started to shoot in the afternoon. In the beginning everyone was not focused on shooting and the mentors seemed more flustered than us, so it wasn’t a good mood. But when we started shooting the most important scene, everyone got motivated and we could finally have a successful take after twelve times! It was relieving for me to have finished this important scene within today. Tomorrow, we will both shoot and edit so there is a lot of things to do. I want to focus more and have the best final day.

Thursday, March 29th

Finally, it is over. Today, we had a shooting at Etsuko-san’s house in the morning and then went back to Yokohama in the afternoon. We had some matters during the shooting but everyone was supportive and cooperative. While editing, we realized that the movie did not tell our core message very well, and we got lost. So we did another shooting and editing in one hour, and had it screened safely.  Fourteen days felt a little short, but we did what we could do, and I really enjoyed. I am really looking forward to watching the movies made by friends all over the world!

Je m’appelle Estuko Dohi. Je suis la responsable de Children Meet Chinema qui est un organisme privé. Nous proposons des ateliers de cinéma en dehors du temps scolaire. Cette année, c’est notre première participation au Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse. C’est un grand plaisir de travailler avec vous !

Avant de vous présenter notre atelier CCAJ, nous souhaiterions présenter brièvement nos activités.

« Children Meet Cinema »

L’objectif du Children Meet Cinema est « The Bright Future of cinema and children ». Nous organisons trois types d’atelier :

1. Atelier de fabrication de jouets de cinéma.
2. Atelier de visionnage de films.
3. Atelier de production de films.

C’est l’atelier de production de films qui est notre principale activité. Dans nos ateliers, nous faisons intervenir des cinéastes comme Nobuhiro Suwa, Hirokazu Kore-eda ou Naomi Kawaze. En trois jours, les enfants de 6 à 12 ans imaginent eux-mêmes un film, le tournent, le montent et le projettent.
En 2017, nous avons organisé un atelier de 9 jours, en partenariat avec Tokyo International Film Festival pour les collégiens de 12 à 15 ans.

Nous avons deux principes très importants.

1. Les adultes n’interviennent jamais dans le travail des enfants. Les intervenants ou les membres de notre équipe laissent les enfants dans leur autonomie totale pour qu’ils découvrent eux-mêmes de manière subjective. Les adultes peuvent parfois les guider, mais ils se considèrent plutôt des observateurs.

2.  Rencontres avec des cinéastes. Les enfants sont très attentifs à l’ardeur de ceux qui les entourent, à savoir les adultes. C’est pourquoi nous accordons beaucoup d’importance à la rencontre avec des cinéastes qui travaillent sur le front du cinéma d’aujourd’hui.

« Notre atelier CCAJ »

Nous somme très contents et excités de participer au programme du Cinéma, cent ans de jeunesse !

Notre intervenant est Monsieur Nobuhiro Suwa. Nous travaillons avec 9 collégiens de 12 à 15 ans. Notre atelier dure 14 jours, plus de 100 heures.

À part les samedi, on travaille tous les jours de 10h à 18h.

Les enfants on travaillé en deux groupes pour les trois premiers exercices. En ce concerne le film-essai, ils vont se réunir tous.
Nous vous ferons partager petit à petit des nouvelles sur notre atelier. Nous sommes impatients d’avoir vos retours.
